˜ "I spent five years in L.A where I was just super uncomfortable. I don't know if you've ever felt just uncomfortable with where you are in your life and not really sure what to do about it. It's kind of a feeling of helplessness I felt for a while. As an actress, I had multiple managers tell me to lose weight and that was something that obviously doesn't feel good. I thought it was something just affecting me. They're just telling me to lose weight. Then I realized it doesn't just effect me, it effects girls everywhere because this is what they see all the time. This is the girls on tv, in movies and on billboards and it's not just me; it's girls everywhere. I knew that I wanted to stand for something, spread positive body image, empower girls and give them a voice and show that you don't have to be a certain size or weight or look a certain way.
It got me thinking and I actually made a list of everything that I enjoy doing and everything I was passionate about. There wasn't the perfect job out there for me already, so I figured I would have to create it. I put together all these things and said this is what I can do. I don't know if it can make money, I don't know if it will work, but I know that my dream job isn't out there so I have to make it. So I did.
I love to write, I love design, I love words, so I started working different phrases and putting them on shirts, tote bags, jewelry and all kinds of stuff. Also working with girls, I want to mentor girls and put a positive message out there. We also partner with different charities and we fundraise for girls and women. We put out all this positive energy for girls and it's great because so many girls have told us it makes their day and they feel better so when you feel like you're actually making a difference and helping people, it's kind of a no-brainer in terms of what I should focus my life toward." ˜
