˜ "I do a lot of political work. I do a lot of walking the street getting signatures and the most discouraging thing I would hear, especially on this west side is, 'what good is that going to do?' I thought, the day I have that philosophy I want to be buried because why would you live in a world that you can't change. I think that's why we are here. Your whole path is to find out what it is you're supposed to contribute. It may not be all flashy and brilliant; it's just day by day being as good a person as you can be. Especially now, it's interesting because I am in aging process where I see a lot of people who are older realize they are not top dog, it's not their world anymore, their body is failing, they're dealing with existential issues, mortality is facing them, their friends are dying around them and they are not handling it very well. You have to sit down, just as I do, and figure out a strategy for every phase of your life. It really helps." ˜
