˜ "Venice has changed a lot. Twenty years ago, Venice was amazing. I couldn't wait to get back here, but now I can't wait to get the hell out. Back then people were a lot more generous and giving and now, unfortunately, I can't say that about this place. I'm a hair from getting my degree, from realizing my dream, but it's harder now because that supportive community is gone. Right now I live in my van. I can't afford to live in Venice. It makes me sad. The only reason I'm still here is because I can't get out. It sucks. I can't even afford a cup of coffee. Luckily the barista here has gotten to know me and spotted me twenty-three cents." ˜
I still see a very supportive community in Venice! I'm sure things will start turning around soon!
